A. Policies
The complete text of "The University of Maryland College Park Affirmative
Action Search and Selection Procedures for Conducting Faculty and Staff
Searches" can be obtained from Robert Waters, Office of the President, 1119
Main Administration Building. Copies of the most recent "The University of
Maryland at College Park Affirmative Action Plan-Update" may also be
obtained from Mr. Waters' office.
B. Responsibility for Enforcement
The Special Assistant to the President for Equity and Diversity, Robert
Waters, whose office is 1119 Main Administration Building, is responsible
for coordinating the University of Maryland College Park's affirmative
action programs and reporting results. The Assistant serves as the
Chairperson of the Equity Council, which is charged with the development of
effective affirmative action and desegregation action plans and the
monitoring of the salary equity reviews.
