Research
One of President Mote's top priorities at Maryland has been not only to strengthen the research enterprise, but also to ensure that the university's research has an impact on the community and the society. It is part of the university's role as the Flagship of the University System of Maryland to conduct research and scholarly activity that makes a difference in peoples' lives.
