MPower Open Forum

Dear University of Maryland community: 

All members of the university community are invited to a discussion about University of Maryland: Powering the State, our exciting new alliance with the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). 

The event will take place on Monday, April 2, 2012, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom Lounge on the first floor of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union. Light refreshments will be provided. 

Advocating for Higher Education

The General Assembly in Annapolis is currently considering the University's FY13 budget. Governor O'Malley continues to make higher education a high priority and his current budget proposal promotes quality, access and affordability, as well as Maryland's competitiveness.

Rejecting Intolerance

Respect, diversity, and inclusion are core values of the University of Maryland.

President Loh’s Asia Trip

I would like to share with you the results of a recent, one-week visit to Taiwan and South Korea. I led a small delegation of faculty, deans, and staff to "show the flag" of the University of Maryland. We met with top government officials and university presidents.

Leading research universities are engaging in technology-enabled education on a larger scale and at a quickened pace. We want to update you on developments in this area at the University of Maryland.
